Growing up on a farm in rural New Brunswick, Canada, Brian developed an early appreciation and love of the outdoors and wildlife. Having grown up in a home with five sisters, he spent a great deal of time in the farm woodlot enjoying the peace and tranquility that the woodlands provided. He became a keen sportsman, camper and hiker.
37-years in agricultural development work kept him connected to the outdoors and rural New Brunswick..
While Brian came late to the to the craft of carving, he has developed his talents and art form very rapidly thanks to friend and mentor, Gord Willett. Brian is a juried member of the NB Craft Council. He takes real delight in creating original pieces that challenge the artist and excite the viewer.
I hope you enjoy my gallery. If you are in the area, please stop by my home workshop.
I would be pleased to consider commissions to create a favorite bird or image that you may have. If you would like to be craving your own pieces, sign up for one of my carving classes.
